TOURIST QUALITY IN DESTINATION. SICTED.

Since 2003, Cordoba has been committed to the quality of the city’s tourism companies and services with the implementation of the SICTED (Integral System of Spanish Tourism Quality in Destination), with its first distinguished companies in 2005.

The Integral System of Tourist Quality in Destination is a project to improve the quality of tourist destinations promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism with the support of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), whose purpose is the integral and permanent management of quality in a tourist destination. Its main objective is to achieve a homogeneous level of quality in the services offered to tourists within that destination, encompassing both the tourist services themselves and those that, without being strictly speaking tourist services, contribute to the formation of the tourist experience in a destination.

At the national level, there are currently 255 destinations working on the implementation of SICTED and 6,448 tourism companies/services distinguished with the Tourism Quality Commitment.
